about

drifting without a sound
what’s going to happen now
and if something else should go wrong
I don’t want to drown
sinking still, ever deeper I go
it keeps getting hotter in here
trapped in this reality
can I find grace even down here
in this old submarine
I feel my life may be in danger
funny if that’s exactly what it takes
can I be more alive
I’m searching for something
can I be more alive
I’m searching for a clearer sign
should I be sending out a call
this is my hour of need
diving still I fall
into the murk and the darkness
so much life is all around
echoes in the deep
it’s like a secret world
turning, turning, sinking still
turning, out of control
I fear I’m not getting anywhere
trapped in this reality
throw me a lifeline
cause it all seems so out of reach
I know my life is really in danger now
if only I could surface for air
can I be more alive
I’m searching for something
can I be more alive
I’m searching for something
I want meaning in my life
what’s going to happen now
can I be more alive
I want meaning
can I be
I want meaning in my life
should I be sending out a call

lyrics

Submarine is a metaphor: piloting a futuristic solo underwater craft on an exploratory mission, this is representing the search for deeper meaning, a yearning for a life with clear direction and spiritual purpose.
The track has beautiful audio production done by Philip Strong.
